Last month we ran a fun Blue Jays ticket giveaway, but I guess my trivia questions were a little too tricky—we didn’t get a single response that was 100% correct! We still sent out three sets of tickets to the participants who came closest. Enjoy the games, everyone!
For those wondering, here are the answers I was looking for:
- Question 1: Which Blue Jay finished a season playing more games than there are in a season?
Answer: Tony Fernandez (163 games in 1986). - Question 2: Who is older—the Blue Jays or me (Chris)?
Answer: Trick question! The Jays and I both got our start in 1977. - Question 3: Name two teams in the Top 10 all-time most hot dogs eaten during a single MLB game.
Answer: Another trick question. The Jays hold all of the Top 10 spots because the “official” loonie dog stats only count the home team!
Bonus Point: Nobody caught my Dazed and Confused reference! It’s a classic line uttered by the one and only David Wooderson (played by Matthew McConaughey). Everyone knows “Alright, alright, alright,” but that movie is packed with gems.
